Goals
To evaluate whether or not the formation and properties of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formed via sequential oxidation of a-pinene followed by limonene can be described as linear combinations of pure a-pinene and limonene systems. Repeat experiment.

Summary
2 uL of liquid a-pinene was injected, followed by the injection of 100 ppb of N2O5 (source of nitrate radical) at a rate of 11.3 ppb min-1. After 60 min since the start of N2O5 injection, 0.4 uL of liquid limonene was injected, followed by the additional injection of 40 ppb of N2O5 (source of nitrate radical) at a rate of 11.3 ppb min-1.

Additional Notes
Initial oxidant concentration is the injected N2O5 concentration. The limonene concentration is estimated based on the chamber volume and the limonene injection volume. In a separate day, the initial chamber volume was determined to be 11.3 m3 by injecting the known concentration of NO and NO2. The chamber volume at the time of limonene injection was estimated by subtracting the sum sampling rate of all the instruments and adding the injection rate of a-pinene, N2O5, and seed aerosol.

Description:
To understand whether or not the formation and properties of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) in multi-precursor systems can be described linearly using respective single-precursor systems. The system to investigate is nitrate radical oxidation of a-pinene and limonene.
