Experiment Set
MultiPrecursor_Takeuchi
Goals
To evaluate the effect of limonene and N2O5 injection order on SOA mass yield. The injection order in this experiment is the same as in SEQ-1 and SEQ-2 but opposite of LIM-1, LIM-2, and LIM-3.
Summary
40 ppb of N2O5 was injected, followed by the injection of 0.38 uL of liquid limonene.
Additional Notes
Initial oxidant concentration is the injected N2O5 concentration. The limonene concentration is estimated based on the chamber volume and the limonene injection volume. In a separate day, the initial chamber volume was determined to be 11.3 m3 by injecting the known concentration of NO and NO2. The chamber volume at the time of limonene injection was estimated by subtracting the sum sampling rate of all the instruments and adding the injection rate of a-pinene, N2O5, and seed aerosol.Experiment Details

Name: MultiPrecursor_Takeuchi
Time format and units: Time is either ET or in min.
Description:
To understand whether or not the formation and properties of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) in multi-precursor systems can be described linearly using respective single-precursor systems. The system to investigate is nitrate radical oxidation of a-pinene and limonene.
