Chamber
Georgia Tech Environmental Chamber (Far)

Experiment Set
Photolysis_Takeuchi

Goals
To measure the photolysis rate constant of organic nitrates formed from NO3 radical oxidation of b-pinene and study their photolysis degradation mechanism.

Summary
SOA (including organic nitrates) was formed by reacting 3 ppm b-pinene with 320 ppb N2O5 in Chamber (Near) and was collected onto Teflon filter. Heated zero air was flown through the filter to vaporize SOA to introduce gaseous organic nitrates into Chamber (Far). 10 ppm cyclohexane was also injected to suppress OH radical oxidation. Photolysis of the gaseous organic nitrates was investigated via UV irradiation. Duplicate-1.
