Chemical identification method:
The Model 400E photometric ozone analyzer is a microprocessor-controlled analyzer that measures low ranges of ozone in ambient air using a method based on the Beer-Lambert law, an empirical relationship that relates the absorption of light to the properties of the material through which the light is traveling over a given distance. The intensity of an ultra violate light is measured after it passes through a chamber, called the sample cell, where it is absorbed in proportion to the amount of ozone present. Every three seconds, a switching valve alternates measurement between a gas stream containing ozone and a stream that has been scrubbed of ozone.

Data analysis method:

Quantification method:

Calibration method:
Cross-calibrated with another ozone monitor. Ozone generator is used to generate fixed concentration of O3 and monitors are cross-calibrated together.

As Needed

Uncertainty estimation method:
To be filled

Known interferences:
Select aromatic compounds, mercury vapors
