Name:
light flux characterization
HIAPER Airborne Radiation Package (#382)
Chamber:
NCAR 3rd Floor Teflon
Date of characterization experiment:
2016-02-18

Measurement technique:
To characterize photolytic conditions in the chamber, irradiance spectra were collected in the wavelength range of 180–600 nm at ~0.8 nm resolution by a custom-built spectroradiometer (Petropavlovskikh et al., 2007).
Photolysis frequency of NO2 with max lighting [Hz]:
787.4
Photolysis frequency of H2O2 with max lighting [Hz]:
Photolysis frequency of O3 with max lighting [Hz]:
Total number of lights:
128
Light percentage on:
100
Light intensity:
Light source type:
32W, Type F32T8/BL
Position and pattern of lights:
surrounding four sides of the bag
Data collection description:
Data are collected by placing the custom-built spectroradiometer on the center of the chamber in the absence of the bag.
Data analysis description:
Data were processed with custom built software.
