Experiment
Name: Browne Lab_20230817_Hydrogen Peroxide/Cyclomethicone 5_Hydroxyl radical_Ammonium sulfate_E4
Date: 2023-08-17
Organization
Browne Lab
Chamber
1-White (1W)
Experiment Set
D5 oxidation ammonium sulfate seed
Goals
Investigate SOA formation from D5 oxidation with ammonium sulfate seeds with CIMS, SMPS, AMS. Filter samples were collected.
Summary
The siloxanol was the major gas-phase and particle-phase product, small amounts of SOA were formed via adsorption.
Additional Notes
Air handler failed and temperature rose 10 degrees over the course of an hour. D5 increased after the lights turned on. Chamber bag volume is changed several times to maintain the pressure in the chamber.Experiment Details
